Linda Golden is a longtime Children’s Medical Center volunteer. She works in the 6th floor playroom with kids in the Cancer/Blood Disorder unit. She also makes mean cookies!
If you’re in the Dallas area, you can be a part of this story we’re telling about Children’s. We have some 200 volunteer positions which need to be filled, and you can have one. If you want, you can work in a patient-care area, like I do in the Day Surgery Recovery Room, wear scrubs, hear medical talk, etc. But, if that stuff makes you squeamish, you can work in an office, or the gift shop, or lots of places.

And, if you live somewhere other than the Dallas area, there’s a hospital that needs volunteers where you are. Believe me, you get 100 times more out of it than you put into it. It will become the highlight of your week.
Give your time to something valuable, because your time is the most valuable thing you have.
