Re-intervention — another surgical procedure on top of the initial one — is not all that rare in the world of Congenital Heart surgery. Young kids who have heart surgery will more than likely need another surgery within 20 years.

There are many reasons why re-intervention is required. And even though it happens quite often, it’s not the case in every case.
